Comment:
Gnathostoma spinigerum adult 2 - 5 cm long with anterior half covered with leaflike spines. The normal host is the dog or cat but humans can also be infected in Asia especially Thailand by eating raw or poorly cooked or pickled fresh water fish, chicken, snakes or frogs.
